Tesla Fan Raises $1M for Museum: We can thank inventor, engineer and physicist Nikola Tesla for the radio, alternating current and wireless communications, among other technologies. And thank him we will. Mathew Inman, founder of the website The Oatmeal, has raised more than a million bucks so far on the crowdfunding site IndieGoGo. The money will be used to buy the site of Tesla’s last laboratory in Shoreham, NY, and turn the place into a museum. The state of New York has promised to match the funds contributed, so give now.
