Wearing headphones in public sends out the message that you don’t want to be disturbed. It’s isolation as its best. Designer Joe Doucet must really love his privacy when listening to music because he created OneSense — headphones that completely cover the listener's eyes and ears in a spiky red cocoon.
According to Doucet’s site, the headphones symbolize “the human need for periods of peace and tranquility.” If the spikes aren't enough to send this message, Doucet notes that red is the color of warning and defense.
OneSense isn’t a product available for purchase as of right now, but it will be on display at the Meet My Project exhibit in Milan this month.
