UPDATE: Harassed Bus Monitor Goes Viral: DNews Nuggets

Bullied Bus Monitor Gets Internet Payback: Bus monitor Karen Klein was horribly bullied by a busload of kids on a trip in Greece, NY that she was hired to help monitor.

Reddit user Max Sidorov of Toronto started a fundraiser for Klein after he heard of her salary of $15,506. He decided she did not make enough money to have to put up with that type of harassment, according to Mashable.

"As soon as I heard of Karen Huff Klein I had to create a fundraiser here for this nice lady,” Sidorov writes onthe indiegogo.com page he set up for the donations to Klein. “Let’s give Karen a vacation of a lifetime, let’s show her the power of the internets and how kind and generous people can be.”

The site has pulled in more than $300,000 and it keeps climbing. News of Klein's experience has gone viral.

According to CBSNews, "Police said Karen Klein does not want her young tormenters to face criminal charges, partly because of the storm of criticism leveled at the boys from the Rochester suburb of Greece after the video went viral."

Klein told NBC's "Today" show that it took "a lot of willpower" to stay calm during the attack.

According to CNN, the children heard in the video are receiving death threats from others.

"We have custody of one of their cell phones, and he had over 1,000 missed calls and 1,000 text messages threatening him. And he is a 13-year-old," the police captain said. "That must stop."
