Bird-long-grass-airplane I was just at Baltimore and Boston airports this past weekend and had a couple of hours to spare at each one. Had my laptop, too. But didn't log in because I didn't want to pay the $10 or $20 or whatever it costs for the lousy hour or so that I would use the service. Just not worth it. I was lamenting that wi-fi wasn't free.

But at least until January 15, 2010, it will be! Google is providing free wi-fi at 47 airports around the country. Sweet! For more, see the press release.

A list of participating airports.
