The column rises out of its water-resistant shaft to a peak of 15 feet in 15 seconds. In the next 25 seconds, seven large LED panels unfold flat. The desired height and optimal viewing angle are adjustable via fingerprint-recognizing remote. Make no mistake, it's not just any ultra-wide high-resolution 16-plus foot Retina display. This moisture-repellent ultraluminous screen produces up to a daylight-friendly 5,000 nits of brightness at a mind-boggling 100,000Hz refresh rate -- respectively 10 and 500 times that of standard sets.
