When the beginning of the end is near, and zombies come for your brain, will you be prepared? If you pick up one of these Apocalypse Kits, you’re well on your way.

When the beginning of the end is near, and zombies come for your brain, will you be prepared? If you pick up one of these Apocalypse Kits, you’re well on your way.

Featured on The Walking Dead, the Gerber Apocalypse Survival Kit is a set of seven of its signature razor-edged tools (weapons, in the case of a zombie on your tail), all wrapped up in a convenient canvas carryall, and ready to be deployed at the first signs of the breakdown of society (or on a camping trip, either way).

The Kit starts off small, with the minimalist fixed blade Epic, then moves up to the DMF Folder, then to the 10″ long LMF II Infantry knife, then the scary-looking 19″ long Parang, and then it starts to get big, with the Gator Machete, the Gerber Camp Axe II, and finally the straight-outta-the-horror-flicks Gator Machete Pro.

That’s seven more blades than most undead can boast of, and you can justify the expense of the kit ($349) as zombie insurance. The Apocalypse Survival Kit begins shipping March 5th, 2012.
