Amaze your friends and enlighten your UFO-watching acquaintances with your ability to identify man-made objects in the night sky with Star Walk, an ‘augmented stargazing’ app for the iPhone and iPad.

Star Walk is an interactive stargazing application that quickly gives you access to information about constellations, stars, and planets, by simply pointing your device at the night sky and picking out the points of light you want to know more about. And now, the app also identifies man-made satellites, so you can debunk (or confirm!) any UFO spottings almost immediately.

The latest version of Star Walk accesses a database of over 8,000 currently operating satellites and displays their exact positions over the ground, allowing you to locate or identify any satellite in the sky. The categories of objects in the database range from weather and scientific satellites to military, navigation, and communication satellites, and even the ISS.

Star Walk, from Vito Technologies, is available in the App Store.
