Slim pickings. But at least one machine aims to give you a hot meal — or at least a microwaved burrito. EatWave Vending has created an all-in-one refrigerated vending machine with an internal microwave. Typical fare, such as snacks and beverages, as well as packaged microwavable foods can be stocked in the machine.
“EatWave is perfect for office break-rooms, hotels, schools, airports and other locations wanting to offer a complete meal for people on the go looking to grab a quick bite,” said CEO Andrew Preston.
The Energy Star-rated machine uses Precision Cooking Technology that’s supposed to heat food more efficiently than typical microwaves. Operators can also monitor their inventory remotely with EatWave’s VENDCheck software.
Obviously, this is not geared for the consumer, but in case you were interested, the EatWave begins at $11,995.
