In case you weren’t aware, watch maker Tag Heuer is also in the phone business. The Racer, its latest, is a sleek, shiny device with an eye-popping entry-level price tag: $3,700. (And you thought the iPhone was expensive!)
Inspired by GT cars and Formula 1, Tag says the Racer is the first luxury phone crafted for high performance, created for lightness and strength with a shockproof rubber chassis and screwed-in titanium and carbon fiber bridges. Since this phone is inspired by speed, it uses a fast processor (no specifics mentioned) and runs on the Android operating system. The Racer also includes customizable 3D user interface.
For those with money to burn, the Tag Heuer Racer collection, which begins at 2,800 euro (US$3,670), will be available at select jewelers and luxury boutiques in July.
