Snail mail is making a comeback.
Artist Ivan Cash put together a month-long interactive art project called Snail Mail My Email transcribing emails into handwritten letters that are physically mailed, free of charge.
But as of Tuesday afternoon, it looks like the project has hit a roadblock. The project site said it will go forward with “a more focused capacity” as Cash re-evaluates the project’s structure. Here is the message:
dear all, thank you so much for your support. with over 900 requests already today, it is clear that there is a lot of love for snail mail. :) however, with such a huge response, comes a lot of pressure and a need to re-evaluate the structure of this project. please check back in the next day or two for more details. :) this project will be going forward, but in a more focused capactiy. and for those interested in volunteering: check out this pdf. thank you, -ivan & team press inquries – ivancash gmail com
