Artist Attaches Camera to a Drill to Capture Some Far-Out Video

French designer Oscar Lhermite attached a camera to a power drill, and the resulting video is a piece of dizzying art.

According to DVICE, the footage was shot at 15 frames per second, and the drill was spinning at 1200 RPM. Lhermite wanted to experiment with color gradients. “Seeing in Circles” is the end product below and involved no post-production.

One of the most interesting scenes is when the camera-drill contraption takes the streets at night (around 1:30), and you see streetlights turning into circular light patterns.
