In 2008, Apple debuted a line of unibody laptops using aircraft-grade aluminum, shedding the not-so-eco-friendly plastic enclosure. The design and material stuck. But that doesn’t mean you can’t cover your computer in something a bit more … opulent.
Computer Choppers, described by the blog The Rich Times as “the original guys in the luxury PC business,” recently debuted the latest diamond- and gold-plated MacBook Pro. The computer, pictured above, will be shown in Dubai at the Gitex Technology Week Oct. 10-13.
The laptop features 24 karat gold plating and a logo made from diamonds. The plates can feature customized graphics buyers can design themselves. Get a quote by Computer Choppers directly. (As The Rich Times puts it: “Prices available on request since Computer Choppers does not believe in grabbing headlines merely by virtue of the most expensive tagline.” How noble, right?)
