With this revolver in hand, you’re ready to shoot just about anything that moves…on film.

The revolver camera is a Colt 38 outfitted with a small camera that automatically takes a picture when the trigger is pulled, BoingBoing reported.

The photo above, from the Netherlands’ national archive, was taken in 1938 in New York City. Details are scant about the revolver camera. Nationaal Archief took to Flickr to elicit more information. So far, in good humor, the community has responded with gun and camera puns.

Happy shooting! Just make sure that gun is fully loaded with film and nothing else.
