The Optrix HD turns your phone into an HD point of view camera by protecting it with a rugged weatherproof case which mounts securely to just about any surface. An anti-vibration sled fits inside the case and protects the phone, and a .5mm touchscreen membrane lets the user access all of the controls. The device fits iPhone 4 and iPod Touch models, and lets users harness the full 1080p HD capability of the iPhone 4S to capture their favorite footage, all while keeping it safe and sound.
With both curved and flat mounting plates, the Optrix HD could easily become a helmet cam or a motorcycle cam, and other mounting accessories are in the works, including a chest mount and a handlebar mount.
The biggest difference between the Optrix and other POV cameras is that you can easily see what you’re recording, and you can view, edit, and upload videos straight from the phone itself.
