Blackberry has hit a new milestone: one billion app downloads.
The smartphone maker said that since its App World launched about two years ago, the store has seen an average of 3 million downloads a day from more than 100 countries, helping it recently surpass the 1-billion-downloads mark (no word on the specific date this happened).
A billion is certainly a big number, but Engadget was quick to note that Apple averaged nearly a billion downloads per month within the last six months. But no need to fret, Blackberry. Android reached the same milestone in about the same time as you.
