You can do many things on a Nintendo 3DS: play 3D games on two screens, take 3D photos, surf the Web. Add one more to that list: stream Netflix movies.
Netflix introduced a free application available for download on the Nintendo’s eShop Thursday. For now, the application will stream movies and television shows in 2D on the device’s top screen. But Nintendo’s press release said users will have access to select movies viewable in 3D without special glasses. No word yet on when this will be available.
To use the app, users need a subscription to Netflix’s streaming services. The company recently raised subscription costs by splitting up DVD and streaming services, which cost $7.99 each or $15.98 for both.
