Fifty limited-edition white M9-P Leica cameras will sell for 2.62 million yen, or US$31,600, PopPhoto.com reports. With that kind of money, you could pay for a year’s worth of tuition.
The standard M9-P was already a pricey camera. The 18.5 megapixel shooter retails for about $8,000. The white Leica includes a Noctilux 50mm f0.95 lens, chrome styling, white leather draped across the body and matching leather strap.
The camera is expected to launch July in Japan, timed to commemorate the opening of Leica Daimaru Tokyo.
