Imagine if your Instagram filters applied not only to smartphone photos but to your everyday life.
Now keep imagining because Instaglasses are just a concept thus far.
Markus Gerke, a Berlin-based designer mocked up these intriguing images of Instaglasses, which would let wearers switch through Instagram filters on their shades by pushing an Insta button. Like Google Glass, the Insta concept allows people to take photos from their glasses and upload them directly to the photo-sharing app.
“Life is beautiful, even more beautiful with filters,” Gerke wrote on Behance.
But he adds: “Please note: It’s only a design concept. I will not produce it and I don’t want to make money with it. I only want to show, how it could look like. Thanks for watching. ;)”
Right now it appears some people aren’t willing to let this idea go. Instaglasses.com has popped up on the Web and its Twitter account has the alluring tagline of “Stay tuned. Launching soon!”
We’ll have to wait to see what comes of this.
