The e-reader market just got a little more crowded.

The newest player: Google and its iriver Story HD, which will be the first e-reader to be integrated with the Google eBooks platform where you can buy and read Google eBooks over WiFi.

The Story HD will sell for $139.99 exclusively at Target, beginning July 17. In addition to access to Google’s platform, the reader is built with a QWERTY keyboard and a high-resolution e-ink screen.

With Google’s reputation, it’ll probably be a nifty product, but the name needs working. Why not Google Reader? Oh, I guess there’s another product with that name.
