A coveted MacBook Pro, allegedly 3G capable, almost fetched $70,000 on eBay before being removed from the site at the request of Apple, reported MacRumors.
The seller claimed he purchased the laptop, which dates back to 2007, from Craigslist, then noticed an extendable cellular antenna and a fully integrated cellular modem and SIM slot. The machine’s motherboard was red, typical of Apple prototypes, according to MacRumors. Sold machines usually have blue motherboards.
