Smart scales are taking over the fitness market. Between apps that track your weight and scales that remind you of it, there’s no escaping that life-altering number. Medisana’s TargetScale is no different when it comes to weight tracking. It helps you work toward your fitness goal by tracking weight loss over time and analyzing it via its free app.
What makes the scale noteworthy is its ability to track things other scales can’t, like body mass index (BMI), water content and bone mass for up to four users. It can also perform balance tests to show the distribution of body weight on each foot. The scale’s glowing rings provide a futuristic effect to an otherwise (and possibly depressing) daily task. The rings are more than just aesthetically pleasing, though; they represent the difference between one’s current weight and their ideal weight. Currently, TargetScale’s Vitadock app is only compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. However the scale does work independently.
