As if life isn’t controlled by technology enough, let’s add dream guidance to the list. The Japanese company Yumemiru how has an app that can detect when a user is in REM sleep and then plays music to nudge the sleeper in the direction of a particular dream.

The music played is specific to different types of dreams like being rich, being at the beach, or gender-specific romantic encounters. To make this even weirder, the app will let you share your dream with friends on Facebook. Currently, the app is only available in Japanese.
