To Protect and Defend (Against Aliens): Economy, shmeconomy. In a recent poll conducted by the National Geographic Channel, 1,114 Americans said which candidate they feel could defend the nation better against alien invaders. The winner? President Obama, it turns out, is perceived as better at fighting aliens than republican candidate Mitt Romney. Sixty-five percent said Obama would be more adept at responding to an alien invasion.
Granted, the likelihood of an alien invasion may be less than, say, the economy crashing, but in the same poll, 36 percent of the respondents said they were certain that unidentified flying objects exist. via AFP
