Although yesterday was a very difficult time for everyone at Discovery News, sci-tech news still needed to be reported and radio appearances had to continue as scheduled.
In response to my article, "Can NASA Help Trapped Chilean Miners?" (posted Aug. 31), I was asked to appear as a guest on NPR's "Talk of the Nation" program hosted by Neal Conan.
Former NASA astronaut Jerry Linenger and chairman of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at West Point Col. Tom Kolditz were also there to discuss the psychological impact of the Chilean miners' ordeal.
It was a great discussion, so be sure to listen into the show. Thanks to the NPR production crew for inviting Discovery News to participate!
