I'm a big fan of both the 1977 Eames short “Powers of Ten” and the National Film Board of Canada (NFBC), so for this installment of Mind-blowing Video I thought we'd indulge in both these loves.

This 1967 short "Cosmic Zoom" by Eva Szasz takes us on an animated, wordless journey from the farthest reaches of space to the smallest corners of innerspace (or at least the smallest corners of innerspace as conceived in the late 60s).

Enough chatter, let's get to the sights and sounds of a boundless cosmos

The NFBC, for those of you who don't know, "produces and distributes bold and distinctive social issue documentaries, auteur animation, alternative drama and innovative digital content that provide the world with a unique Canadian perspective."

Founded in 1939, the board has produced over 13,000 works, allowing Canadian and co-Canadian works to reach the broad audience they diverse. You can watch them all for free on the NFBC website or on their app. Oh, and they also inspired one of my all-time favorite musical acts, so they're pretty much a win-win.
