Welcome to the new Discovery News!
My team and I are thrilled to be unveiling our brand new site. It’s the outcome of months of hard work and planning to bring you a site that wraps all of our fantastic breaking news and deeper content into one clean, easy-to-navigate format.
Not only that: We now have a better way for you to tell us what you think. Every article, slide show, video and blog includes a commenting field at the bottom where visitors can leave a message and/or upload a picture or video.
We’ll be watching that space carefully, since we want to hear what you have to say and respond in kind. But that’s not the only place you can speak up. We’re on Twitter, and have Facebook pages for Earth, Space, Tech and News.
We’ve also launched an iPhone app with all of our news, videos and blogs. You can pull Discovery News from Discovery’s mobile Web sites, as well as from Yahoo and Google Gadgets.
And of course, the easiest way to get our news is to come often to Discovery News, where you can pull any of our hundreds of RSS feeds into the feed reader of your choice.
As Editor-in-Chief of Discovery News, I have the privilege of overseeing the most talented group of journalists, producers and experts out there digging up the coolest, most fascinating stories in science, technology and history. Just for you.
My core passion and mission remain the same as the day we first launched Discovery News in 1998: to deliver unique news and deeper information in an easy-to-understand, to-go format so that our visitors can spread the word of just how awesome our world is. Maybe you’ll be inspired, if only a little, to want to help save it.
