Natalie Wood's Death Certificate Updated: Natalie Wood's mysterious death is still unsolved. The starlet was yachting with her husband and a friend in 1981 when she disappeared. The police
reopened her case last year, and are now updating her death certificate due to new information.
Wood's cause of death has been updated from "accidental drowning" to "drowning and other undetermined factors."
The Chief of Detectives told Entertainment Weekly, "the decision to amend the death certificate was ultimately made by the coroner's office."
The conflicting stories of the others on the yacht was enough for the police to re-open the case, but her husband Robert Wagner is not a suspect. Their friend Christopher Walken was also on the yacht that day.
Natalie Wood disappeared from the yacht during the peak of her career and her death captivates Hollywood to this day. Her death was considered an accident for many years, and though that has not changed, the police told EW.com, "We don’t close these cases. These cases have active periods and more passive periods. We’re moving toward the end of an active period." via Entertainment Weekly
