Stamp Prices to Rise in U.S.: It will cost
a penny more to mail a letter or postcard in January, according to the Associated Press.
The price of a
first-class letter will rise to 46 cents and a postcard to 33 cents. A new "forever" stamp will let anyone
mail a letter anywhere in the world for $1.10, instead of the varying international rates in place now.
The more-expensive stamps won't do much to alleviate the U.S. Postal Service's dismal financial crisis,
though; it's more of a cost-of-living increase.
