Leading by example, President Barack Obama received his H1N1 vaccination from a White House nurse on Sunday. A few days earlier, Mrs. Obama was also immunized against the deadly swine flu outbreak.
Until recently, the H1N1 vaccine was restricted to high-risk groups, such as children -- Obama's children Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, received their shots in October -- but now the vaccine is available to the general public.
"I think people just need to understand if I had the two people that are most important in my life, my two daughters, get it right away... then you need to make sure your children get it as well," Mr. Obama said.
The President urged everyone to follow suit, assuring the public that the vaccine is safe.
