Another Subway Killing: Another man was killed after being pushed onto the tracks of an oncoming NYC subway train. This time the perpetrator was a woman in her early 20s.
It happened Thursday night at the 40th Street-Lowery subway station in Sunnyside, Queens. According to the New York Times, the woman was seen getting up from her seat and then shadowing the man, who is yet to be identified.
Bystanders said the heavy-set woman was mumbling to herself. Then, just as the No. 7 train roared onto the tracks, she shoved the victim in front of the oncoming train. The man had almost no time to escape and died.
Witnesses said it appeared the man had not noticed the woman following him.
As of Friday morning, the man's body
remained under the second car of the 11-car train. NYPD officers said they planned to lift the train using specialized inflatable
bags to recover his remains.
