When you go into a Wendy’s in America, you’re greeted with a menu of square burgers, salads and Frosties. In Japan, lunch goers have a decidedly more classy menu: foie gras rossini, truffle and porcini grilled chicken sandwich and premium burgers topped with lobster and caviar.
Those ocean-themed foods are the latest addition and come in three varieties, Gawker reports.
The surf and turf burger includes lobster, lettuce, tomato and red onion. The lobster and caviar burger comes with lobster chunks, lobster salad and caviar. There’s even an ocean premium salad with lobster, caviar, avocado, egg and assorted vegetables.
The new menu items will be available Aug. 17 at Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills complex. Personally, I’m jealous. Is there no demand for premium fast food in America?
