In case you’ve been too busy ordering vodka and tequila drinks to notice, whiskey is making a big comeback. And while some still prefer to drink it neat or on the rocks, bartenders are using this timeless spirit in a variety of creative cocktails.

But creativity aside, there’s nothing like the classics as a way to truly appreciate whiskey. Manhattan

One of the most popular whiskey cocktails, it’s traditionally made with rye. This updated version adds Grand Marnier for a richer experience.

Rob Roy

Named for the Scottish folk hero, Robert Roy McGregor, the Rob Roy is essentially a Manhattan made with Scotch whiskey instead of rye.

Whiskey Sour

A simple, three ingredient cocktail made with bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup, this old-school favorite is making a comeback.
