If you love beer and you kinda like America, check out this informative animation from Visual.ly on both. There were only 1,751 legal breweries back in the 1900s but Prohibition unfortunately brought that number down to zero (stupid Prohibition!). But come 1978, home-brewing beer with an alcohol content higher than 0.5% was legalized (Thank you, Jimmy Carter) and craft really began to grow. Now there are all kinds of yummy brews to choose from!
