Getting lost has never been more beautiful.
The Cubed Maze³ by Phil Pauley is a nine-floor mega-maze concept designed to use a recycled flexible glass-based polymer. With multiple stairs, glass ramps and transparent-wall partitions, the maze will surely stump the best of lab rats.
Each level is a single maze. “Stairs and ramp ways may offer assurance but sometimes you will have to go back down a floor or two to reach the higher levels!” wrote Pauley.
Being able to see 360 degrees, through walls and floors, doesn’t make navigating any easier. In fact, it’s supposed to “challenge conventional perception and push the boundaries of reality in real-time,” according to Pauley.
When people finally reach the top, they’ll be greeted with a rooftop cafe bar and spectacular 360 degree panoramic views. “The only concern while relaxing with refreshments will be how to get back out again!” Pauley is seeking an architectural partner to make this a reality.
