Colonel Sanders' Recipes to be Available Online

//

A recently unearthed recipe book by Colonel Sanders will soon make its way to the Internet. But before you whip out the deep fryer, realize this: No, the secret herb and spice recipe isn’t there.

That is locked away in a company vault.

Sanders’ recipe book from the mid-1960s was found by an employee going through the company’s archives, the Washington Post reported. The manuscript includes anecdotes, lessons and many comfort-food recipes, including casseroles and pies.

“We can’t wait to share its secrets with KFC fans around the globe,” Roger Eaton, the restaurant chain’s CEO, told the Post. “Colonel Sanders was a lifelong cook and sage and his life lessons are just as powerful and relevant today as they were 40 years ago.”

The company says it plans to publish Sanders’ recipe book online, likely in the next year. Homemade KFC, that’s an interesting concept.
