7 Cows Make up Record-Setting 2,600LB Doner Kebab

//
Regular doner kebabs just seem puny in comparison to the new record setter.

If you think doner, the enormous, spinning hunks of meat that grace kebab stands all over the world, are impressive, prepare to be blown away. Ten cooks in Turkey have set the Guinness World Record for the largest doner, weighing in at a staggering 2,641 pounds. To get that much on one spit (which was 8’2″ tall), the team used the meat from seven cows. To hold it up for measurement in Ankara, a crane was employed, reported the Daily Mail.

The former record was set in Dubai with a 1,032 pound doner, which seems puny in comparison to the new winner. To put things in perspective, the Ankara doner is 13 inches taller and 2,225 pounds heavier than Shaquille O’Neill (at his NBA weight).

Now the question is, where do you find a pita that will hold 2,600 pounds of meat? And when is the largest falaffel coming?
