Texting 21-year-old Plunges from Cliff While Driving:
Chance Bothe, a 21-year-old man from Houston, Tex., sent his last message before plunging off a cliff on Jan. 24, 2012.
Right before the crash, he texted, "I need to quit texting because I could die in a car accident and then how would you feel…" Since the texting incident Bothe has recovered some 80 percent of his faculties, but he will wear the scars his whole life.
When the truck plunged 35 feet into a ravine, he suffered brain injuries, a broken neck, a punctured lung, compound leg fractures, a fractured skull, sternum and rib fractures, and a fractured face that required extensive reconstruction.
