About 39,000 pounds of pork sausage have been recalled because they may contain bits of plastic. The source is probably gloves, said the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service.
If you have a 1-pound package of Gwaltney mild pork sausage, you might pause before frying it up. The affected rolls had a use-by date of March 12, 2013. The sausage was sold in 11 states and Washington, D.C.
