Cocaine Helps Fourth-Grader Win Science Fair

//

Maybe it’s just the modern version of the old baking-soda-in-the-volcano project. A Miami fourth-grader, with assistance from her cop dad and three police dogs, used an ounce of cocaine in her science fair project. Emma Bartelt’s project, titled “Drug Sniffing Dogs,” showed off the keen sniffing skills of a golden retriever, Labrador, and springer spaniel to see who could find 28 grams of cocaine inside a metal box. The Labrador won, locating the dope in 43 seconds. And Emma won first place. via The Miami Herald
