Researchers discovered patients who consumed chocolate or cocoa powder saw a reduction in their blood pressure. The study was short term, but it was significant enough to form a conclusion.
Before you run to the nearest chocolate store, researchers also said, “Although we don’t yet have evidence for any sustained decrease in blood pressure, the small reduction we saw over the short term might complement other treatment options and might contribute to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.” Additionally, not all chocolate products are good for you.
