Eleven years ago on September 11, 2001, Pasquale Buzzelli was on the 22nd floor of the World Trade Center's North tower. He knew he couldn't make it out and as his thoughts drifted to his family he knew he didn't want to die. The floor cracked and shifted beneath his feet and Buzzelli miraculously survived. How? He surfed the debris.
Buzzelli describes it as what he would imagine jumping from a plane would be like. That feeling of riding the air. He surfed the debris and was rescued by firefighters who shared the story with the media, but he never came forward.
