Some weeks ago I reported on a subterranean network of chambers and passageways lying beneath the Giza plateau, home to the Great Pyramid and Sphinx.
Made by British explorer Andrew Collins, the claim has been hotly debated in online forums. Collins told Discovery News that some key researchers working in the field of Egyptology remain sceptical about his finds, “yet no one has come forward with any information suggesting that the cave network has ever been explored in modern times.”
Collins will detail his findings in the book "Beneath the Pyramids" to be published this fall. Meanwhile, here is a video of the massive cave system. It shows Collins and his team venturing into the underground world, despite colonies of bats, venomous spiders and fallen rock debris.
