Romney Son: Dad Never Wanted to Run: DNews Nugget

//

'No Desire': Tagg Romney, the son of the Republican presidential candidate who admitted during the campaign that he wanted to "take a swing" at President Obama, told the Boston Globe that his father never really wanted to run.

"He wanted to be president less than anyone I've met in my life. He had

no desire to . . . run," Tagg Romney told Michael Kranish of the Globe. Tagg went on to say that he and his mother convinced his father to run.

"If he

could have found someone else to take his place . . . he would have been

ecstatic to step aside."

Could it really be true? Considering that Mitt Romney spent about six years seeking the presidency, it seems unlikely to some.
