Three tornadoes touched down Thursday morning as a storm system moved through Louisiana, flooding the state’s southeast region. Gov. Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency and called on the National Guard to help in some areas by bringing in high-water trucks.
Another storm system is expected to drench the region beginning Saturday night and continuing through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
