Dec. 19, 2009 -- An impromptu snowball fight broke out at the intersection of 14th and U Streets during in Washington, D.C. during the record-setting snow storm. The event was organized by a Twitter group that called for people to gather at that location. More then 200 people showed up.
According to reports, the snow storm is a record setter, set to break a Washington, D.C., record of 16.2 inches, set in 1962. At the time of this posting, here are the snow totals for Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia from the National Weather Service.
