Feb. 13, 2012 -- "If Battlestar Galactica was a nature film, it would look like this," reported i09. We couldn't agree more!
For his latest video time-lapse spectacular Randy Halverson collaborated with composer Bear McCreary who currently scores the music for the TV show The Walking Dead and is of Battlestar Galactica fame. His latest for the TV show Eureka's season finale "Do You See What I See?" matched music to four styles of contemporary and classic animation.
Here McCreary gives Halverson's "Temporal Distortion" a soundtrack that pulls our curious eyes skyward with both depths and richness in tones that match the impressive magnitude of what we are seeing as well as with light and dancing piano key solos that remind us of our own unique place in the universe.

If those auroras look familiar, you're correct. Halverson captured the Oct. 25 display while shooting in Madison, Wisc.

He also captured an earlier September aurora while filming in central South Dakota. "Most of the video was shot near the White River in central South Dakota during September and October 2011, there are other shots from Arches National Park in Utah, and Canyon of the Ancients area of Colorado during June 2011," Halverson wrote in his vimeo explainer.
