Shrimp's Claws Hot as the Sun: Gotta-See Video

//

We have a Discovernator fact about a shrimp that can make a sound so loud it can kill, and now we also have a video.

The pistol shrimp is only a little guy (at 2 centimeters, it's less than an inch long) but the creature can emit a sound louder than a gunshot or a Concorde's sonic boom — 218 decibels. The shrimp cocks its claw before attacking, but when it snaps it emits the sound, and shoots a bubble nearly as hot as the surface of the sun.

The bubble and the sound can stun and even kill. So you've gotta ask yourself, are you feelin' lucky? via YouTube & MailOnline
