N.Y. Floodwaters Contain E.Coli, Gas:
Beware getting any floodwaters from Sandy in your mouth, especially if you live in New York City;
ABCNews.com reports that the waters contain E.Coli and gasoline, among other nasty things.
ABC News chief
health and medical editor Dr. Richard Besser had the waters tested and found that the floodwaters were
polluted with sewage and fuel.
On the other hand, Manhattan's drinking water was declared safe. But if you
rely on a well and were hit by Sandy, Besser advises you to not drink water from it until it's been tested.
