The above video shows the tsunami wave that followed the 8.9-magnitude earthquake off the coast of Japan and flowed across Sendai airport, located in the Miyagi prefecture.

These images from the Japanese TV network NHK show the terminal, ramp and runway overtaken with water. No signs of aircraft are visible.
Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports are reporting no damage and are expected to re-open soon. Chubu Centrair airport in Nagoya is operating as scheduled, according to flight reports.
