Ever wondered what it would be like to see an octopus up close? Really close, even? One diver off New Zealand found out when an octopus stole his video camera and swam off with it. The result has become something of a YouTube sensation:
The ultimate fate of the eight-tentacled Oliver Twist is not recorded. It was, hopefully, more agreeable than the one that befell the fellow in the video below: after a few moments exploring a diver's spanner, it was ambushed by a fellow cephalopod, which had been lying patiently in wait, unseen by victim or human observer.
